Puerto del Carmen, located on the south/east side of Lanzarote, at 10 minutes from the international Airport, is the most important tourist spot on the island.

It transformed from a small fishing village into a most interesting and developed tourist centre. Few places offer you more, Puerto del Carmen has a full range of services: stores, shopping centres, a wide variety of restaurants, bars, pubs and discos, and you can enjoy all kind of sports.

But Puerto del Carmen is only the coast of the municipality of Tías. Tías is divided in other small villages like Conil, Macher, Masdache, La Asomada and Tegoyo. Places full of history, agricultural landscapes formed by the great influence of volcanic eruptions, worthy of respect and tender care. Their inhabitants are gentle and hospitable, they love traditions, music and dance.

Local Buses – Arrecife Bus
With local transport you can get to almost all villages on the island.

Airport
Binter Canarias and Islas Airways offer daily many flights between the Canary Islands, The airport is situated at 5 km from the capital Arrecife, between the municipalities San Bartolomé and Tías.

Ferries
Several lines, Fred Olsen, Naviera Armas or Transmediterranea, offer you a regular schedule to travel among the islands with fast ferries and traditional transport.

Restaurants
Puerto del Carmen has an excellent gastronomic offer. You can choose between tipical Canarian cooking, classic Spanish food, and the offer of international restaurants is enormous. Most of them are located along Las Playas Avenue and in the old port.

If you wish a relaxed and peaceful evening, you can enjoy an excellent dinner in one of the many restaurants, they will be pleased to attend you and without a doubt, you will leave feeling very satisfied.

Nightlife
Puerto del Carmen offers you a lot of entertainment, along the Las Playas Avenue and in the old port. Many places have live music, Canarian folklore, but also a big offer of rock and roll, soul, jazz and international music.
