The Cueva de los Verdes
The tunnel formed by La Corona Volcano is one of the longest and most interesting on the planet. Along its length there are at least sixteen “jameos” (lava caves).
The more than six kilometres of underground passage go from the volcano’s crater all the way into the sea, with an underwater section that is one and a half kilometres long, known as the “Túnel de la Atlántida” (Tunnel of Atlantis). Visiting the Cueva de los Verdes will allow you to enter and explore part of this incredible tunnel.
Opening hours: from 10:00 to 17:00. Last visit: 17:00.
Summer opening hours (15th July – 15th September): from 10:00 to 18:00.
Recommended visiting hours: from 15:00 to 17:00. The last visit is at 17:00. In summer it is at 18:00.
