Los Pocillos Beach
Los Pocillos beach covers a large expanse of golden sand which for years has been the ideal place to do windsurfing. Hotels and restaurants are close at hand and its weather conditions are perfect for swimming all year round. It also has showers, public toilets and sunbeds to round off the features of this beach.
As a particularity, the beach’s vast expanse of sand is occasionally covered by a thin layer of salty water during high tides, giving rise to Puerto del Carmen’s exclusive salt marshes. If you would like to witness this natural phenomenon, we invite you to come at the beginning of September, which is when the so-called ‘pine tides’ flood the beach of Los Pocillos and turn it into marshland.
The beach also has a board walk and a sunbathing area, as well as an amphibious wheelchair so that people with reduced mobility can enjoy a dip in the sea too. To use the wheelchair, please contact the following number: 0034 627544740
