Acts and cults during the holy week in Arrecife-Lanzarote

The Holy Week in Lanzarote is celebrated every year with intensive activities.
In all municipalities processions, mass, and many religious acts are organized.
During the Holy Week the Christians celebrate their faith, remembering the last days of Jesus, including in particular his Passion, Death and Resurrection. Maundy Thursday mass is celebrated, Good Friday crucifixion memorial and during the evening from saturday to Easter sunday, the Resurrection of the Lord.

In 1574 a small church was build, with paintings of San Pedro and San Ginés. After the inundation, in 1665, both works were restored, and after being enlarged, the church was considered a paris-church.
